Nautical Advisory in Chile
Nautical advisory services with 30 years of real experience.
Coming soon: sailing tours through the canals of southern Chile.
Rodrigo
Troncoso Peirano
I started in industrial fishing, navigating the Antarctic Sea and Cape Horn. I later moved to offshore, as captain of PSV and AHTS vessels off the coasts of Angola, Brazil, Ghana and Venezuela — with over 15 years operating dynamic positioning systems.
I returned to Chile with all that experience in tow. Today I navigate the fjords of Patagonia on wellboats and put 30 years at sea at your disposal.
Full story →30 years at sea, at your service
My story starts in commercial fishing, sailing Chile's open ocean and southern fjords all the way to the Antarctic Sea. The Drake Passage and Cape Horn became my home — witnessing nature at its most powerful, and gaining the foundation that prepared me for everything that followed.
From there I made the leap into offshore work, as Captain of highly specialized vessels — PSVs, AHTSs, dive support ships and FSIVs — operating for the oil industry off the coasts of Angola, Brazil, Congo, Ghana, Venezuela, Trinidad and Tobago, Cameroon and the Caribbean. Maneuvering in open sea just meters from oil platforms, in waters that forgive no mistakes.
Over 15 years of DP operations with current international certifications — all carried out with the composure that only comes from commanding in any weather, any port, any emergency. I returned to Chile with all of that knowledge, and now sail the Patagonian fjords again in wellboats, but with a new purpose.
Today I put all of this experience at your disposal: for those who sail or want to sail, sports enthusiasts, adventurers, business people — anyone who wants to move through the sea with a real professional as their co-pilot. 30 years of experience. The sea never stops teaching, and neither do I. Get in touch.

Who have trusted my experience
Rodrigo helped me plan my first voyage through Patagonia's canals. Thanks to his advisory we were prepared for every scenario. A true professional.
I was about to buy a vessel with serious structural issues. Rodrigo's advisory saved me a lot of money and a huge headache.
30 years of real experience at sea can't be improvised. The safety equipment advisory was exactly what I needed before the summer sailing season.

A sailboat in Chile: the dream under construction
While the advisory services are the present, the sailboat is the future. A 40–47 ft vessel, brought from abroad to Chile, to offer unique experiences in the canals and rivers of the south.
